GET TO KNOW ANDRÉE & THE GIANTS

ANDRÉE DUPÉPÉ
Andrée is the featured vocalist and she sets the energy level for the band. She has many years of experience in the music industry as a featured vocalist in several successful bands in the New Orleans area over the last 35 years including the Boogiemen, Four Unplugged, Karma, Kingsroe, and the Murmurs. Andrée’s voice can also be heard on several advertising jingles on local TV and radio stations in New Orleans. She also performed at some of the top clubs on Bourbon St. Andrée’s amazing voice, dynamic energy, versatile styles, and extensive song list makes her one of the top performers in the Gulf Coast region. She is now a resident of Waveland, Mississippi and is co-owner of The Loft BSL, a beautiful event venue and wine bar on the strip in Bay St. Louis. You can catch Andrée and her band on occasions performing at The Loft BSL. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Andrée and her fabulous band perform, or book
them for one of your upcoming events.

DWIGHT BRELAND
Dwight holds down the guitar chair for the Giants and also contributes on lead vocals. He is a native of Belle Chase, La and is one of the hardest working musicians you will ever find. Dwight started playing professionally at age 16 and has not slowed down since. He is also an accomplished pedal steel guitarist and has many recording credits with several artists under his belt. When not playing with the Giants, Dwight can be seen at Tropical Isle in New Orleans, where he has been a member of “Late As Usual" for over 27 years. Dwight has also traveled the country and world with many artists throughout his career including Louisiana Outlaws, Mary Vigueira & the Instagators, Luzianne, Waylon Thibodeaux, Kim Carson, Rhythm & Rain and many more. He is also a talented songwriter and has penned several songs that were popular in the local region including “Midnight Clown” written in 1980 and “Jack Daniels & Jesus” which is featured on his solo album recorded in 2017. Dwight was inducted into the Westbank Musicians Hall of Fame in 2013. Wherever Dwight is performing, he brings a smile and lots of talent along with him.

JIM BRELAND
Jim had a 21 year career as a full time musician from 1980 to 2001. He left the music business for almost 20 years and has now returned after retiring from another successful career in 2019. Jim has performed with many other artists over the years including Louisiana Outlaws, Mississippi South, Luzianne, Mary Vigueira & the Instagators, Waylon Thibodeaux, Evangeline, Bruce Daigrepont, Clean Sweep and MJ & the Redeemers. Jim is an on-call drummer for many performing bands and can fill in at any moment in almost any situation. He was the house drummer at the famous after-hour’s music club, O’Charley’s, on the West Bank of New Orleans for 17 years. Jim can also be seen around Bay St Louis performing on the piano as a solo or duo act quite frequently. Jim was also inducted into the Westbank Musicians Hall of Fame. He owns & operates BayMusic Booking Agency booking other artists and venues, as well. Jim says, “The chance to play drums with the Giants is one of best musical experiences I have ever had."

MARK LIUZZA
Mark is the keyboardist, music arranger, and the man with all the sounds for the Giants. He is a very in demand musician in the New Orleans and Gulf Coast area. Mark has been the band leader for an extensive list of entertainers in his career. He performs more times in one year than some people do in a career. Mark’s list of who he has performed with is too many to mention.
He is also a multi-instrumentalist and is well known for his understanding of all parts of any band. He's also done work as a sound and studio engineer in his career composing and engineering many of the well-known jingles in the New Orleans area. One thing is for sure, when Mark is on the stage, the band will definitely sound good.

OUR STORY
A Story Steeped in Sound
Longtime friends and musicians Andrée Dupépé, Dwight Breland, Jim Breland and Mark Liuzza, found a way during the pandemic to share their talents on stage together for one gig and they hit the musical jackpot. After their first gig together, they started playing on the Gulf Coast while New Orleans was still on lockdown. They enjoyed it so much that they decided to keep playing together whenever they have time away from their other musical commitments. That one gig turned into over 50 Andrée & the Giants performances in 2021 and they continued to grow in 2022. The list of venues, clubs, and private clients keeps expanding. The band is excited about the future.
